Social Work is Everywhere: Inspiring Connection, Creating Change

This National Social Work Month, we celebrate the significant and diverse roles of social workers, who build meaningful connections and strengthen communities across Canada.

In an increasingly complex and unpredictable world, marked by deep division, and growing social and economic challenges, social workers are uniquely positioned to foster understanding, and provide much-needed support to individuals and communities facing significant challenges by being systemically oppressed.

As uncertainty shapes many aspects of our lives, social workers remain steadfast in their commitment to professional and accountable social work services that promote social justice by facilitating crucial conversations about the changes needed to realize a more equitable Canada. The theme “Social Work is Everywhere” reflects not only the wide-reaching presence of the profession but also the boundless impact social workers have in creating meaningful and sustainable transformations.

This National Social Work Month, we join in unity to recognize the unwavering dedication and celebrate the incredible contributions of social workers across Canada. You help us imagine a more equitable and compassionate world. We thank you for your courage, your care, persistence and the positive impact you make every day on the lives of children, families, communities and in the world.

Participate in #NSWM2025 and join conversations exploring how #SocialWorkIsEverywhere!
