Nora Elmi, MSW, RSW
Nora Elmi is a Registered Social Worker dedicated to fostering wellness and community. As a second-generation Somali Canadian, she draws from her lived experiences of navigating challenges related to identity, growing up in a low-socioeconomic environment, and being raised by a single mother. These experiences, combined with her strong faith in goodness and mindfulness, have shaped her passion for helping others, a passion she has carried throughout her life. With over a decade of experience working in non-profit organizations focused on building healthy and resilient individuals, Nora uses her knowledge and lived experience to guide others on their journey to wellness. Beyond her role as a therapist, Nora is a public speaker, workshop facilitator, and wellness curator. She provides support in areas such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, relational conflicts, parenting, and empowerment, using various therapeutic modalities tailored to each person’s unique journey. Nora is especially passionate about empowering BIPOC women, curating intentional spaces that promote meaningful connection, growth, and wellness. She not only teaches others to live intentionally but embodies these values in her own life. As a daughter, sister, wife, and mother to two busy boys, Nora cherishes her own wellness journey, finding joy in spending time outdoors with her family, traveling, reading, and enjoying a well-made latte. She also finds peace in cleaning and organizing, which allows her to slow down and appreciate her surroundings. Nora is committed to helping others develop the skills and confidence to navigate life’s challenges and live beautiful.
