Tina Gandhi, MSW, RSW
Tina Gandhi is a Registered Social Worker who is currently working at Surrey Place Centre (and the Redpath Centre) with families and clients with developmental disabilities. She has over 25 years of clinical experience in the areas of autism, disability, and mental health at developmental service and children’s mental health agencies. She provides counselling to diverse families, couples, siblings, and individuals and utilizes a variety of approaches such as family systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Tina brings her passion for mental wellness and innovation to her work, by providing workshops and groups to meet families’ needs. She is a Master Level ASIST (Suicide Prevention) trainer, Mental Health Ambassador and gives presentations on the importance of the social work role in the field of neurodiversity. She was recently the keynote speaker discussing families of children who have autism for the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Tina was recently awarded the 2022 OASW Inspirational Leader Award and Distinguished Social Work Award for contribution to the profession through leadership, optimism, and innovation in the field of Social Work. She was also selected as the Health and Safety Award Winner (2022) by Surrey Place staff by consistently going above and beyond for clients, families and staff.
